Our story
The Microscopy & Microanalysis Unit (MMU) is an amalgamation of the Center for Electron Microscopy (CEM) of the University of Natal, Pietermaritzburg campus & the Electron Microscopy Unit (EMU) of the University of Natal, Westville campus.
The MMU, which was formed in 2004 during the merger that established The University of KwaZulu-Natal, is the centre for microscopy-related research at UKZN.
The Pietermaritzburg & Westville Unit has a range of microscopes and preparation
instruments to provide solutions for all your microscopy research requirements.
